SUP board rental in Klaipėda is for those spending a few days or the whole holiday at the seaside: we rent boards by the day, for the weekend or for a week, not by the hour. A week with a beginner Aztron board costs 60 €, so you can have a board by the sea for your whole stay and paddle whenever the weather is good.
We do not have a permanent rental point in Klaipėda. You pick up the equipment in Vilnius, Žygio g. 90, before your trip to Klaipėda; for a larger quantity (a group or an event) or a longer rental we can deliver it. A packed board fits into a backpack and a car boot, and the set includes a pump, a paddle, a safety leash and a fin.
In Klaipėda you can choose the calmer Danė river or the Baltic Sea when the weather is good. A stable Aztron (320 × 81 cm) suits a beginner, and the two-person Aztron Nebula (45 € per day) suits a couple. A life jacket costs an extra 5 €. For a weekend you pick up the board on Friday between 16:00 and 19:00 or on Saturday before 15:00, and return it on Monday before 14:00.

We agree how you will get the equipment – you pick it up in Vilnius or, for a larger quantity or a longer rental, we can bring it to Klaipėda (terms and price agreed in advance).
You get a complete set – a board, pump, paddle, backpack, safety leash and fin. Briefing on request.
Book in advance for the weekend – that way you will know for sure that a board will be yours.
Where to paddle a SUP board in Klaipėda
The Danė river
The Danė flows through Klaipėda and, in the Old Town, enters the Curonian Lagoon strait. You can paddle along the river through the city and see it from the water – it is a calmer choice than the sea, especially for a beginner. At the river mouth begin the port and the strait, where ferries and ships sail, so do not paddle out into it and watch the boat traffic.
The Baltic Sea
Paddle a SUP board at sea only in good weather – when the wind is weak and there are almost no waves. When the wind blows from the shore, the surface looks smooth, but the board is carried away from the shore – do not go out to sea on such a day. On the beaches keep away from swimmers and listen to the lifeguards. Paddle parallel to the shore and close to it.
How to choose between the river and the sea
If the forecast shows stronger wind or waves at sea, choose the Danė. Leave the sea for calm days. On the river, plan in advance where you will launch and how you will get back.
