The Elektrėnai Reservoir is a large, open body of water with little forest around it, so the winds here are stronger and steadier. SUP board rental in Elektrėnai means a board for a day, a weekend or a week: you pick it up in Vilnius, Žygio g. 90; for groups and events we can deliver the boards to the reservoir. The delivery price depends on distance and quantity.
In the summer season we organise SUP polo together with WindPort – a team game on SUP boards for a team of 6 people. An hour costs 90 €; you can book and pay online (SUP polo in Elektrėnai) and agree the time by phone.
The eight-person Starboard Starship (564 × 152 cm, up to 8 people; 120 € per day, 200 € for the weekend) suits a group of friends. For one or two people – the Aztron beginner board (25 €) or the two-person Aztron Nebula (45 €). The set includes a pump, aluminium paddle, backpack, safety leash and fin.

Where to paddle a SUP board in Elektrėnai
The Elektrėnai Reservoir
The reservoir was created in 1961–1962 by damming the Strėva, to cool the power plant. It is about 11 km long and up to 3.1 km wide, with almost twenty islands; the average depth is 7.2 m and the maximum about 30 m. There is little forest around it, so the winds are stronger and steadier – the reservoir is popular for windsurfing. Paddle a SUP board when the wind is weak, stay closer to the shore and start by paddling against the wind, so that it is easier to come back. The islands and bays let you choose the sheltered side. The reservoir has a swimming area maintained by the municipality – paddle well away from swimmers there.
The Strėva
The Strėva flows into the Elektrėnai Reservoir and continues towards the Kaunas Reservoir. The river has several dams (Elektrėnai, Pastrėvys hydroelectric power plant), so we do not advise longer SUP routes on it.
WindPort
WindPort is a water sports and leisure harbour by the reservoir in Elektrėnai (Vėjų vartų g.) with a sandy beach. In summer we play SUP polo here together; you can book through us.
Lake Vievis
A lake in Elektrėnai municipality, on the southern edge of the town of Vievis: 294.5 ha in area, 2.7 km long, with a maximum depth of 33 m and an average of 12.9 m. It is much smaller than the reservoir, so on a windy day it can be an alternative.
